Families with medically fragile children and young adults often experience very isolated lives in which their friends and even their extended families don’t understand the realities of their existence. As a part of Nursingale’s mission, we plan frequent social and recreational experiences to enable families to come together and share stories and a meal with others who better understand their experiences. These include a Summer Gathering, and the Holiday Party. These events help to reduce social isolation and support our belief that keeping families together is critical to the long term health of the medically fragile.
